After the Second World War, the Linces housing estate was built in the Buckland Valley on the outskirts of Dover. A church was included in the plans and
opened in 1947.
In 1960, the current Church of St Nicholas was consecrated to serve the spiritual needs of the substantial population.
In the past two years, the building has been developed to include rooms suitable for a weekday children's nursery, but retaining
a separate and well appointed place of worship.
