1. The service opens with a hymn. The Celebrant (the priest leading the Mass)and servers (who help the Celebrant during the service) process to the altar. The service includes readings from the Bible, a sermon, prayers, and concludes with Holy Communion.


The worship builds up to a climax . . .


2. Prayer is said over the Bread (unleavened wafers), the body of Jesus sacrificed for us on the cross.


3. Wine, the blood of Jesus, is also offered


4. Everyone comes up to the altar rail. Some eat the bread . . .


5. . . . and drink the wine. Jesus who died on the cross and rose again for us so that sins are forgiven, is present in this sacrament of bread and wine and gives inner strength and comfort to God's people.


6. Those not confirmed (brought before the Bishop for prayer and anointing) receive a blessing from the priest.
