Christenings - being baptized at Buckland Church

Anyone who lives in the parish or has a family association with Buckland Church can be christened in church. (Being christened is the same thing as being baptized).

  • Christening services take place by arrangement.  Services take place on the 4th Sunday of the month in St Andrew's Church, with up to three families at the same service.
  • The parents will be invited to attend a preparation sessioon held at a central venue in our Group of Parishes and to attend a Sunday service before the Christening (along with godparents) where there will be a walk through of what will happen at the Christening.
  • There is a £30 charge which covers the certificate fee and administrative costs.  There will be a collection plate in Church for anyone wishing to make a donation to the upkeep of the church.
